These ten songs will take the listener on a journey to the sea and nature and explore how these intertwine with our lives. Saltwater Rain is a personal commentary on both the simplicity of ourselves as natural beings and the complexity we find ourselves placed in our manmade society.

Written predominantly by Kevin Moffat drawing on his Cornish roots, these songs move from casual story-telling to full-blown nostalgia and humour.

Alkevan are Alan Harvey (vocals, Bodhran) Kevin Moffat (vocals, guitars) and Richard Norris (vocals, bass guitar, production). They are joined on this album by the amazing Matilda Harvey on violin and Anne Bowden on flute.

Artwork by Alan A Art, an artist who creates artwork drawn from his own sensory and emotional response through the environment in which he occupies.

Alkevan have played pre-dominantly on the Midlands folk and festival circuit for ten years now in various iterations. Saltwater Rain is an exciting indication of the direction in which they have now moved and will be reaching many audiences in 2025.

The first single, The Other Side of your Heart, will be released with a video on Friday 14th February.
The second single, Staring Down the Tracks, will be released with a video on Friday 28th March.
The full album will be released on Friday 11 April with a live event (venue tbc).
